All will not have a chance to be saved
1 Timothy 2.4 Who will have all men to be saved,
Romans 10.13-15
- For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
- 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed?
- and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard?
- and how shall they hear without a preacher?
- 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent?
Unbeliever—one who never had the opportunity to choose or reject God's way of life.
We must "accept Jesus" in this life or we are lost forever.
What about the billions of people who have lived out their lives
without ever hearing the name of Christ
and therefore had no chance at salvation?
There is only one way of salvation.
By the blood of Jesus.
- "without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sin" Hebrews 9.22
All of those billions of people are sinners.
They were born in sin and need a saviour.
We have a lost and dying world.
We need to tell them about Jesus.
If there is a second way, then let them find it for themselves.
Let us quit and go fishing.
Most of us are doing that, and now are only lukewarm.
- "Neither is there salvation in any other:
- for there is none other name under heaven given among men,
- whereby we must be saved."
- "When I see the blood, I will pass over you."
- He was slain before the foundation of the world.
- He was born to die; He came to die; He planned to die; He lived to die;
1 Peter 1:18-19
- redeemed . . . with the precious blood of Christ
His blood brings us into fellowship with God.
- made nigh by the blood of Christ
- having made peace through the blood
- the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
- it is impossible . . . If they shall fall away,
- to renew them again unto repentance;
- It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
