The survivors settled along the Tigris and Euphrates rivers.
When the population is large enough,
they decide to build a tower into heaven.
2124 BC This date is middle age of Peleg 2243-2004
as never seen before or since,
broke the earth into parts
and the pieces moved many miles apart.
Many people were trapped on these islands of land.
This event to be the division
of the North and South American continents
from the European and African continents
by the Atlantic ocean after the flood.
God confused their language,
so that they would not be able to understand one another.
The dispersion of people across the earth
was generally along extended family lines.
This creation of different languages was thus a sudden, miraculous event.
The Great Earthquake
The Dark Ages of metal working was caused by the depopulation.
It will be many years before they again learn to work bronze.
The troubles of half a dozen Bronze Age societies,
can be blamed on a single event,
a natural disaster.
