The word remnant means something left over, a remainder,
A remnant refers to a small surviving group of people.
The relatively small group of Jews
who have believed in Jesus as their Messiah.
The main body was given Two wings of a great eagle
to fly to a place of protection
The remnant defend Jerusalem
- 2 For I will gather all nations
- against Jerusalem to battle;
- and the city shall be taken,
- and the houses rifled,
- and the women ravished;
- and half of the city shall go forth into captivity,
- and the residue of the people
- shall not be cut off from the city.
- 17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman,
- and went to make war with the remnant of her seed,
- which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
