"The New Testament speaks also of the church

as the Body of Christ

which includes all of the redeemed of all the ages,"

(Absolutely WRONG)

"While both men and women are gifted for service in the church,

the office of pastor is limited to men as qualified by Scripture.

(What about deacon?

Can a woman be a deacon?

Absolutely NOT in a Baptist Church. Well maybe SBC)

"The New Testament speaks also of the church

as the Body of Christ

which includes all of the redeemed of all the ages,"

(Absolutely WRONG)

"believers from every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation."

IV

"... a change of heart wrought by the Holy Spirit (Is this before or after faith?)

through conviction of sin,"

"to which the sinner responds in repentance toward God

and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ."

V

"Election is the gracious purpose of God,

according to which He regenerates, justifies, sanctifies, and glorifies sinners. "

"It is the glorious display of God’s sovereign goodness, ..."

... Cooperation is desirable between the various Christian denominations, (Work with Catholics on abortion?)

(Appearance that Catholics just as good as Baptists)

when the end to be attained is itself justified, and when such cooperation involves no violation of conscience or compromise of loyalty to Christ and His Word as revealed in the New Testament.

XV

.... Christians should be ready to work with all men of good will in any good cause, .....

(Make them as good as the Church)

XVI

.... they should do all in their power to put an end to war. ....

(Right! and how do you propose to do that?)

In 1859, the Southern Baptist Convention

approved several resolutions disapproving of Landmarkism,

which led to adherents gradually withdrawing from the Southern Baptist Convention

"to form their own churches and associations

and create an independent Landmark Baptist tradition."

The main baptist groups

adhering to Landmark principles and doctrines

in the present day are the churches of the

American Baptist Association

(founded by Ben Bogard),

Baptist Missionary Association of America, and the

Interstate & Foreign Landmark Missionary Baptist Association.

(Faithway)

and many independent Baptist
