caused people to evacuate

Highways were parking lots

Cell phones did not work well

Everyone had a phone to his ear

redial and get only a word or two

No gas. They were pushing their cars to save gas

No electricity for several days

I bought a window air conditioner

so that I could run it with a generator

I never thought that I would spend that kind of money

on an air conditioner, but it was worth it

Bug spray controlled mosquitoes
