Church was started
When did the Church begin ?
The Church was started
when Jesus was baptized
He was a member and head of His Church
Mark 3.
- 14 And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him,
- and that he might send them forth to preach,
The law was until John the Baptist.
- 16 The law and the prophets were until John:
- since that time the kingdom of God is preached,
- and every man presseth into it.
John the Baptist was a forerunner of Christ.
- Prepare ye the way of the Lord
Jesus called out subjects prepared by John.
The law and the Church overlap for a time.
The law ended and the Church age started at the death of Jesus.
The veil was rent from top to bottom,
showing that God did it.
- 50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
- 51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom;
If man could do it,
then it would be from bottom to top.
No longer is man separated from God.
A priest is not needed.
A generation of priests.
You can talk to God at any time.
- 15 And if we know that he hear us,
- whatsoever we ask,
- we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
Those baptized believers at Pentacost
already had the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit empowered the Church on the Day of Pentacost.
About 3000 souls were added to an already existing Church.
There will be many saved and not members of the Church.
The Old Testament Saints, Jews and those that never unite with the Church.
They will be guests at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
A believer must be baptized
under the authority of a New Testament church
to be a member.
The Church is the Bride of Christ. His wife. His body.
Never to worship idols.
A virgin Bride.
