- 3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

- 4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

- 5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth;

- fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

- 6 For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
contrast between believers and non-believers.
Non-believers are those who “live according to the flesh.”
By contrast, believers are those who “by the Spirit put to death the deeds of the body.”
the believer is not completely free from sin;
but forgiven from the penalty of sin
unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God
Sanctification is God’s will for our lives [[1 Thessalonians 4.3[[
it is the purpose to which He has called us Romans 8:29
Romans 13:8 ... "Owe no man any thing
