Talk:No Chance for Salvation
Sorry about writing a long article
I did not have time to write a short one.
how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard?
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead,
thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed?
and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard?
and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent?
God "desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth" 1 Timothy 2.4
If you were born into a culture that has not heard of Jesus, your chance is zero.
The simple but hard truth is that everyone does not get a “chance.”
There were thousands of people who perished in areas of the world
where the gospel was unknown for generations.
There are thousands of people today who perish apart from a gospel witness.
This is why the Great Commission is so important.
In fact, it is why the Great Commission exists at all.
If the going and the telling are not necessary for the salvation of the lost,
then it is merely a Good Option, not a Great Commission.

Billy Graham said it this way:
Whether they come from the Muslim world, or the Buddhist world, or the Christian world,
or the non-believing world,
they are members of the body of Christ because they've been called by God.
They may not even know the name of Jesus,
but they know in their hearts they need something that they don't have
and they turn to the only light they have
and I think they're saved and they're going to be with us in heaven.

"resurrection of the dead" and God's judgment Hebrews 6.2.
one who never had the opportunity to choose or reject God's way of life
we must "accept Jesus" in this life or we are lost forever
Is it fair for God to destroy them forever
when they never really had an opportunity to understand His truth?
will resurrect the saints at Christ's return
He spoke of people from different ages coming face-to-face in "the day of judgment"

second resurrection in his writings Romans 11.26-27
and the book of Revelation speaks of it as specifically as Christ did
the people in the above references are called enemies Romans 11.28
and are contrasted with the saints (they are called "the rest of the dead" in Revelation 20.5.
In Revelation 20.5 the expression
"This is the first resurrection" refers to the resurrection of the saints.
Great white throne:
the judgment seat of God <-- Not the same as Great white throne
Revelation 20.11-12, where God judges from a "great white throne,"
If these people understood and obeyed the truth in their lifetime,

God would have resurrected them a thousand years before—
9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness;
but is longsuffering to us-ward,
not willing that any should perish,
but that all should come to repentance.
People who do not have the opportunity to hear the gospel cannot be saved.
general revelation is not sufficient for salvation
In fact there is not one example in the entire New Testament
of anyone receiving the gospel apart from the preached or taught word.
The only possible exception would be the apostle Paul.
But, like the other apostles, Paul had an encounter with the risen Christ
that not only saved him but set him apart for special service as an apostle –
an office that no longer exists.
Romans 1.18-21
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men,
who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them;
for God hath showed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen,
being understood by the things that are made,
even his eternal power and Godhead;
so that they are without excuse:
21 Because that, when they knew God,
they glorified him not as God,
neither were thankful;
but became vain in their imaginations,
and their foolish heart was darkened.
1 The heavens declare the glory of God;
and the firmament showeth his handywork.
2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night showeth knowledge.
3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world.
In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
