THE GREAT TRIBULATION PERIOD
Revelation 6: 1-17; Matthew 24: 15-22; Luke 21 :41; Jeremiah 30:7; Daniel 9:27
In general, the Tribulation period covers everything
from Revelation 4:2 to Revelation 19:21.
It is divided into two equal parts from 3 1/2 year each.
In Revelation 11:2, the first part of it is said to be "forty a two months."
In Revelation 11:3, the same period is spoken of in days,
"a thousand two hundred and three score days."
In Revelation 12: 14 the last half of it is spoken of,
using the words, "a time, times, and half a time."
In Revelation 13:5 the same last half is spoken of in months,
"forty and two months."
It is interesting to note the words of Jeremiah in Jeremiah 30:7,
where he speaks of the Tribulation period
as the "time of Jacob's trouble."
This means it will primarily be a time
of punishment of the Jewish people
bcause of their rejection of the Messiah.
L THE POLITIC CONDITION OF THE WORLD
TRIBULATIO UNDER THE ANTI-CHRIST.
A. A world state at peace, Rev.6:2.
1. He takes a kingdom without force.
"And he that sat on him ha a bow."
2. A crown without shedding of blood,
"A crown was given unt him." Cf Daniel 11:21.
3. He builds totalitarian state under false pretense,
and forms a c binet of puppet rulers, Rev. 17:22.
B. A world state at war, Rev.6:3-4.
1. He takes peace from the earth, Rev.6:4.
A peace that he had brought, I Thes.5:3.
2. "And there was given unto him a great sword."
Means sword of total destruction.
3. The world reaps its own choosing in self-destruction,
Isa.24: 1- 1.
C. The consummation of this Gentile Political machine, Rev.16:19.
II. THE ECONOMIC CONDITION DURING THE
TRIBULATIO UNDER THE ANTI-CHRIST.
A. There will be a controlled economy - the mark of the Beast, Rev. 3:17-18.
B. An International ration system, Rev.6:6.
C. A worldwide famine, Rev.6:5; Jer.14:2-6.
D. Men are now predicting a great famine in the next ten years.
III. MORAL CONDITION OF THE WORLD DURING THE TRIBULATION
A. At this time the Tribulation
Judgments will be poured out on the earth.
These are contained in the seven sealed book of Rev. :l.
1. The Trumpet judgments, chapters 8 - 9, 11 - 15.
2. The seven last plagues, chapter 16.
3. None of these will cause men to repent and give glory to God, Rev.16:9.
4. They will not repent of their Devil worship, Rev.9:20.
5. Gentile age will end with men blaspheming God and His name
refusing to repent and give Him glory.
IV. { THE TRIBULATION WILL END WITH FULL PUNISHMENT ON THE JEWS.}
A. They cried out, "Let His blood be on us and on our children."
Now they receive just what they asked for, Matt.27:25.
B. Without the shortening of these days (only seven years)
all the Jews auld be destroyed, Matt.24:15-22.
